Project Overview

The Istiqlal Interchange study focused on establishing a comprehensive traffic database for the road network and intersections within the study area. The scope covered 12 road links and 9 intersections, providing detailed field data representing existing traffic conditions and movement patterns across the interchange and its surrounding network. The primary objective was to develop a robust and reliable traffic database to support subsequent traffic modelling, network analysis, and decision-making. The collected data was intended to provide an accurate representation of existing traffic conditions and serve as a sound basis for evaluating potential transportation alternatives. Our company was responsible for field traffic data collection and data analysis across the complete study area. The work covered all 12 links and 9 intersections, with systematic collection and processing of traffic information to establish a consistent and quality-controlled dataset suitable for modelling and transportation analysis. The project delivered a comprehensive traffic database covering 12 links and 9 intersections, providing a reliable foundation for traffic modelling and alternative assessment. The analyzed data supported evidence-based decision-making by enabling accurate representation of existing network conditions and comparison of potential transportation solutions.
