Project Overview

The project involves the development of an industrial warehouse and storage facility for the Arab Technical Company for Plastic Industries in Amman. The internal road network and circulation areas are required to accommodate frequent heavy vehicle movements associated with industrial and logistics operations. The objective was to develop a robust and durable flexible pavement structure capable of safely supporting heavy truck traffic and operational loading throughout the project's 20-year design life, while ensuring appropriate performance for internal roads and circulation areas. Our company was responsible for the structural design of the flexible pavement for the facility's internal roads and circulation areas. The design considered the anticipated heavy truck loading, including vehicles with gross vehicle weights of up to 30 tons, and established an appropriate pavement structure to meet the required design life and operational requirements. The pavement design provides a durable structural solution capable of accommodating heavy industrial and truck traffic up to 30 tons over a 20-year design period, supporting reliable internal circulation and safe access throughout the warehouse and storage facility.
