Mobility and Traffic Management Plan (TMP) Study for a strategic water infrastructure project in Aqaba, assessing construction access, vehicle movements, traffic circulation, and road safety requirements to maintain efficient mobility and minimize disruption to the surrounding road network.
The National Water Transmission Project is a strategic infrastructure development in Aqaba, supporting the efficient transmission and distribution of water through a major regional water infrastructure network. Due to the project's scale and interaction with the surrounding transportation network, a comprehensive mobility and traffic management assessment was undertaken to address construction and operational transportation requirements. The study aims to assess the project's mobility implications and establish an appropriate Traffic Management Plan (TMP) to maintain safe and efficient movement throughout the project lifecycle. Particular consideration is given to construction access, vehicle movements, traffic circulation, road safety, and minimizing disruption to the surrounding road network. Our company was responsible for preparing the Mobility & Traffic Management Plan Study, assessing transportation requirements associated with the project and developing appropriate traffic management measures. The scope included reviewing access arrangements, construction-related vehicle movements, traffic circulation, road safety considerations, and measures to minimize potential impacts on the surrounding transportation network. The study provides a structured mobility and traffic management framework to support the safe implementation of the National Water Transmission Project. The proposed measures are intended to facilitate construction traffic and site access while maintaining safe and efficient movement on the surrounding road network and minimizing disruption to existing road users.
